The Crossroad is led by biblically qualified elders and pastors who take seriously the responsibility to lead and shepherd the body of Christ. They are not by any means the only ministers of the church. Rather, their primary role is to “equip the saints for the work of ministry” (Eph 4:12). So rather than the many being led by the few, the leaders exist to equip the many to engage the masses. Additionally, the Bible describes the church as a family. Each person, being empowered and gifted by the Spirit, must be involved for the church to function well.
Jesus is head of His church. The Bible describes the church as existing through Him and for Him, and any other leader is in submission to Him. Ultimately Jesus is the chief Pastor/Shepherd of our church. All other leaders are His “under-shepherds.”
