We gather to remember and celebrate what is of first importance: that Jesus, the Son of God, has come in the flesh to live a perfect life on our behalf, die in our place, and rise from the dead, so that we might be forgiven and reconciled to God. This gospel, or good news, is what we remind ourselves of as we sing, pray, read Scripture, give, hear God’s Word preached, and fellowship together.

For many “church” is the building you go to or the worship service you attend. But the Bible teaches that we are the church, sent by the power of the Holy Spirit to a broken world as ministers of reconciliation. Though the gathering of the church is extremely important, we strive to be the church everyday through our Discipleship Communities.
Songs have a unique way of helping us remember truth. Our corporate gatherings are filled with songs that remind us of who God is and what He’s done for us in Christ. It’s part of how we teach one another to be rooted in the truth of the gospel.
“Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly, teaching and admonishing one another in all wisdom, singing psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, with thankfulness in your hearts to God.”
[Col 3:16]
